South of Beale, Memphis' First Gastropub, is looking for a General Manager. Prior experience in a leadership role within a restaurant setting is required. 2+ years experience in a high-volume restaurant is required.

Bartender

At South Of Beale, we help our adventurous guests discover bold and unique flavors in food and drink and leave fulfilled.

We are expanding into 2 locations with plenty of room to grow!

We are currently looking for a FULL TIME BARTENDER.

The ideal BARTENDER will be familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and will be capable of delivering quality guest service. The Bartender will be responsible for serving guests at our 16 seat bar and fulfilling drink orders for the dining room, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar and performing closing manager duties at the end of each night to help in maintaining proper standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a consistently high level of guest service to each patron
  • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
  • Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times

Server

We are always looking for energetic personalities to join our service team and help guide our guests through the SOB adventure. Duties include, but are not limited to, guest interaction and education, dining room maintenance, cleaning and standard full-service practices that include opening, running and closing sidework.

Experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant is required. Teamwork, a sense of urgency and a positive outlook are characteristics of what we look for in future SOB team members.

Kitchen Manager

Duties include, but are not limited to, executing dishes, prep work, teamwork on the line and standard full-service practices that include opening, running and closing sidework and cleaning duties.

Experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant is required. Teamwork, a sense of urgency and a positive outlook are characteristics of what we look for in future SOB team members.
